Styles of Logo design

How many different logos do we see a day? Tens or even more. And though none of them is absolutely identical to another, they still have some similarities that help us to divide them into several big groups. Some of them may seem to be common, but as a matter of fact all of them have their own individual concept. We've chosen the most remarkable ones (in our opinion) and now we'd like to review them closely.

Drops

Drops may be situated either separately or in the symbolic fusion. The drops effect is usually used to express some technical or scientific association. The logo where drops are used may use both plain forms and 3D ones. 3D effect is achieved due to using shadows and complementary colours strokes.

Exact photo images

This is the style of logo design where natural or even exaggeratedly natural graphical objects are used. Images are situated on the local background, offen white, and the company's title is located lower. This style looks more advantageous when the visual object is accompanied and supported with appropriate text or when the text is unexpectedly original.

Double helix structure

Though it seems rather strange that deoxyribonucleic acid may have something in common with graphic design, it turned out that a graphical representation of double helix structure of the DNA is a wonderful solution for scientific or religious emblems. This concept represents the genus or the seed of life, health and longevity, a family tree, a code, a mystery, or an unbroken sequence and has a certain symbolic power.

Deffornation effect

Take a simple geometrical solution and bend it or turn it into sphere. You'll get a nice original logo. Due to this tactic even two-dimencial images may transform into 3D ones.

Punctuation symbols

This is a new direction in logo design, appeared due to computer keyboard's symbolism. It was created and developed by Internet users.

Rubber Bands

These linking rings tend to express the concept of a collective of product, employees, companies, or divisions that work together as a larger whole. They may appear to have varying degrees of autonomy or flexibility based on the tightness or shape of their configurations. Color is generally the marker that defines individuality, but it also helps us grasp the concept of the whole being greater than the sum of the parts.
